苦涩的泪水，却掩不住输球后的悲伤与失落。2016年3月31日，一年一度的国际学校八校篮球赛决赛在苏州中加枫华学校落幕，男篮冠军归属上海枫叶国际学校，而我校SUIS男篮联队，再次折戟，获得季军。女篮则取得2胜3负的成绩。

     第三名，很不错的成绩，却让奔着冠军而去的男篮孩子们再一次失望了。去年的亚军，今年的季军，SUIS的实力有目共睹，但也许是心态的不够成熟，也许是连打几场之后体力消耗过大，在与上海枫叶的半决赛中，SUIS联队几分之差落败，无缘总决赛。

     而在这场之前，SUIS队刚刚艰难战胜东道主中加枫华队，顶着全场几百个观众的压力，面对着中加枫华队凶猛的进攻，SUIS拼尽全力，捍卫住胜利。终场哨响的那一刻，所有的队员和教练欢呼雀跃，我们打败了去年的冠军，我们战胜了主场球队，所有的孩子，都以为胜券在握，看到了冠军在招手。而激烈的角逐，让SUIS的队员耗尽体力，在仅仅几分钟过后便打响的下一场比赛中，还没从兴奋与疲惫中缓过神来的队员，眼睁睁地看着胜利从指缝中溜走。

     这是主教练Cody带队的最后一年，也是这届12年级队员的最后一年，赛后大家都说，没有给Cody一个完美的结局。但正如维纳斯的断臂，缺憾美更是一种难忘的美。当我们看到Bill头缠纱布却奋力拼抢篮板，看到Bryan顶着防守强攻篮下，看到Tanas后场紧逼灵活断球，看到女篮孩子们在各种困难面前仍不屈不挠，谁还会认为他们是失败者？我们似乎看到了SUIS队的未来，队员们已经做到最好，今天的遗憾是为了激励我们明天更加努力，SUIS的拼搏精神会将持续存在！

 

     The annual basketball tournament came to an end on Mar.31 2016. The champion of boys’ basketball was Maple Leaf Shanghai and our boys’ team got the third place. Girls’ team got two victories.

     SUIS boys fought hard to win the strong SINO boys against hundreds of SINO audience. When the whistle blew the coaches and all the ps of SUIS cheered for they had defeated the champion of last year. But just a few minutes later ps of SUIS were too tired to win in the next game.

     This is the last year of Coach Cody. Everyone said we did not give Mr. Cody a perfect end. But we had tried our best against the odds and this is an unforgettable memory. Bill had bandage on his head but he still leaped high for the rebound; Bryan performed his lay up against the strong defense; Tanas showed off his defense skills on our end of the court. The girls kept on fighting although they encountered series of difficulties. We are not losers. The regrets today will become inspirations for tomorrow.
