社团创立后，同学们发挥自己的创意，尝试了许多有趣的实验、制作了许多实用的小发明。今年，创新社的2个小组——朱雨轩和管预况、石韫涵和陈熠豪——第一次报名参加了第31届上海市青少年科技创新大赛，报名参赛的两个项目均获得了市级三等奖，祝贺他们第一次参赛就获得了市级奖项!

　　Innovation Club is a student club in our school which was established by Steven when he was in Grade 10. Steven has a passion for inventing. He used to participate in National Innovation Contest and he has got two patents. After entering high school he established Innovation Club with some other students with the same interest.

　　The club has organized more than 30 activities including doing interesting experiments and inventing new devices. This year 2 teams of Innovation Club – Steven & George Sylvia & Ricky - signed up for “The 31st Shanghai Adolescents Science &Technology Innovation Contest” for the first time. After 3 months' preparation their inventions won 2 municipal third prizes. Congratulations to those who won municipal awards in the innovation contest for the first time.

　　在比赛申报的截止日期，社员们通过微信相互督促，相互鼓励，守在各自的电脑前一遍又一遍地检查着申报材料。到了深夜，在离申报截止规定时间还差10分钟时，两个小组几乎同时点下了申报按钮，紧张的情绪瞬间缓解了下来。事后，同学们感慨道：“申报创新大赛的那个夜晚是一次难忘的经历。”

　　In the last day of application the club members checked their papers again and again and encouraged each other through WeChat. 10 minutes before the deadline the two teams handed in their applications at almost the same time. After the application one of the club members said “That night was an unforgettable experience.”

　　参赛作品“脑瘫患者专用键盘”：这个发明凝结了朱雨轩、管预况和其他社员们的许多心血。在原始模型参加比赛后，创新社又先后为脑瘫患者设计制作了3台键盘模型，并把其中最为先进的2台捐献给了徐汇区致康儿童康健园，一所脑瘫儿童康复疗养中心。

　　Steven George and other club members put painstaking efforts on designing the special keyboard for the cerebral palsy patients. After taking the original model to the contest they have made other 3 keyboards and have donated 2 of them to CereCare Wellness Center a residential treatment center for children with Cerebral Palsy.

　　就在几个月前，Dvorak社加入了设计键盘的队伍。创新社负责制作模型，Dvorak社负责通过编写程序来改变键盘的键位，使键盘更加适合脑瘫患者。

　　A few months ago Dvorak Club joined them. In their cooperation Innovation Club mainly focuses on building keyboard models and Dvorak Club mainly focuses on writing programs to make the keyboards more suitable for CP patients.

　　参赛作品“十二面插线板”(创意项目，没有模型)：这个发明是由我们社团的石韫涵和陈熠豪同学独立完成的项目，主要是通过将拖线板的外型改为12面体，从而实现插头之间不会相互拥挤的用途。

　　Dodecahedron power strip (justan idea no model) is invented by Sylvia and Ricky from Innovation Club. The invention changes the normal power strip into a dodecahedron shape which could reduce the congestion between plugs.
